Kennebunk, ME - The Pastel Society of America has awarded Kennebunk artist Anne Gable Allaire the Atlantic Papers Award at its 34th Annual Open Juried Pastel Exhibition at the National Arts Club Grand Gallery in New York City on September 17th, 2006.

Additionally, her painting was selected for the Joseph Salomon Purchase Prize. As a Pastel Society of America Signature member who has received awards at three different annual exhibitions, she is now designated a Master Pastelist, one of 142 Master Pastelists currently listed with the Pastel Society of America .

Allaire's painting, "Evening Tide", was one of more than 1,300 entries from across the U.S. and the globe from which 200 were selected for the exhibition. Allaire is also a Signature member of the Pastel Painters of Maine and a Member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod and the Connecticut Pastel Society.
